Exchange = balance

There's a balance to every home. We just have to find it.

I was calling this the Replacement theory, but when I went to DuckDuckGo I realized that term has been used as a slander in politics. I was shocked and disappointed that I now have to come up with a new term. We'll call it Exchange theory.

Let me tell you what my version of this theory is. When you are out and about and see an item or product you want, and feel you need, think of something you can get rid of (if you have to buy it).

We can clutter up our spaces with more and more stuff that we don't need. I have no problem at all with having the knickknacks, nostalgia, and any other pretties in our homes. It's when it becomes clutter that we have to dust, or a table that becomes a drop-all area that it slowly creates the issue.

Balancing out your living space is essential to your mental health. Not everyone's balance is the same either. Some need to have everything in sight. Some what it all hidden. I'm an out of sight-out of mind person. If the mail I have to attend to is in a drawer or file I will not remember it. I organize mine with a mail tray then file it away after.

There is not a singular way to organize yourself. I work with clients from all walks of life and we work together to find the way that works best for them.
